PROFILE
I am seeking employment in marketing management, digital content creation, video production or photography, as I have been working in these fields for the last 21 years. I have had the opportunity for worldwide travel, telling inspirational stories through different communication mediums, all to help spread the message of different organizations. I have produced various media types necessary in today’s digital communications world including short videos, full-length documentary films, podcasts, websites, magazines, brochures, social media campaigns, and more. I consider myself a video industry expert and can help implement video, marketing or social media strategies and campaigns.

EXPERIENCE
DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR, OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY, CORVALLIS, OR — 05/2019 - PRESENT
Produce web, social, and digital media assets for Student Health Services, including maintenance of the department website, developing all social media campaigns and graphics, podcasts, and video productions. Mentor/manage a team of student employees, guiding their output of work in these areas. Work with a diverse set of staff members, including medical staff, administrators, prevention and wellness specialists, and counselors, to assist with their digital marketing and media creation needs. Produce video productions as needed and maintain video gear inventory.

SPEECH AND DEBATE COACH, MARIST HIGH SCHOOL, EUGENE, OR — 09/2010 - PRESENT
Coach a high school speech and debate team throughout their competitive season beginning in September and continuing through April each school year. Help teach students how to compete in 16 different public speaking, acting or debate related events. Drive the team bus to tournaments on weekends to facilitate competition. In addition to coaching responsibilities, I have served on the state coaches board of the activity for 6 years in various roles including vice-president, president, and treasurer.

VIDEO PRODUCER/DIRECTOR, CBT NUGGETS, EUGENE, OR — 01/2013 - 05/2018
Responsible for creation of video team at CBT Nuggets, an online IT training provider. Created marketing videos to communicate the company’s vision. Created fun, educational video series titled “Nuggetcast” to explain difficult IT concepts to beginners and encourage education. Created video content for the company’s Youtube channel to increase visitors and web traffic. Created internal videos to train employees and encourage the fun company culture. Created a weekly video series called “Ryan’s Chat” to increase company communication and inform employees of company happenings - 150 episodes were produced. Created a series of customer testimonial videos, interviewing customers around the globe and telling their story in documentary style videos. Traveled to produce videos for charity partners in Africa to help them market their cause. In most instances I served as a “one man crew”, by writing, scheduling, casting, costuming, filming, directing, editing and releasing each video. Served as company photographer to document new employees, and take photos for company events, and newsletter publications. Performed voiceover for company videos and webinars.

MARKETING DIRECTOR, MARIST HIGH SCHOOL, EUGENE, OR — 05/2010 - 12/2012
Coordinate the production of marketing content for private Catholic high school to maintain and/or increase enrollment. Materials included design/layout and content coordination for a quarterly alumni magazine, campus brochures, websites (including a video-driven PR blog), social media campaigns, and additional campus graphic design needs. Worked to build and maintain branding standards for the organization to unify the many sports teams, clubs and activities available.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER, LANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, EUGENE, OR — 08/2009 - 05/2010
Responsible for design and content coordination for campus related publications, including college magazine and schedules. Assisted with designs needed for college Printing and Graphics department, including flyers, forms, posters, course materials. Coordinated content for various publications amongst different departments to make sure all content was correct, prior to publication.

WEB MARKETING DIRECTOR, MONACO COACH CORPORATION, COBURG, OR — 10/1997 - 03/2009
Responsible for the supervision of design and development of 20 company websites including database driven product sites, traditional HTML sites, an online store, online consumer magazines/blogs, e-mail newsletters and a private dealer transaction website.  Hired and supervised a web development team and work performed by an out of state ad agency. Developed E-marketing plans and initiatives to increase sites presence on search engines and planned online marketing and traditional MARCOM campaigns. Regularly traveled to promote the websites, teach seminars and train groups on how to use them. Managed projects from both the I.T. and Marketing departments to accomplish web initiatives. Produced multimedia marketing materials such as interactive CD-ROMs, videos, audio presentations and DVDs. Assisted with planning shows and marketing campaigns to promote both our products and websites. Acted as photographer/videographer as needed for company functions. Analyzed website performance on a monthly basis and created reports to share our successes with others in the company.
